LAB FILMS is a collective of Pacific NW artists and filmmakers. We believe storytelling can inform cultural perspective. We believe the most meaningful films are born of the truest collaborative process involving diverse artists and perspectives. We do what we do for the love of the process, the collaboration, and to preserve the core traditions of storytelling through the visual media.

HISTORY

In 2005 Caleb Young, Joshua Young, Cameron Currier and Lacey Young were about to make their first feature film There, so they decided to create Lines and Blood Productions. Since 2005, Lines and Blood has produced 5 feature, 10 short films and several music videos. During the same time, Chris Koser created Sourcelight Productions and started making a lot of great short films.

Around 2006, Lines and Blood and Sourcelight met and began working together on each other projects. Together they worked on 3 features and 7 shorts films, and during the third feature, Do You See Colors When You Close Your Eyes?, the members of these two production companies decided to combine efforts and work together on projects under one creative umbrella. Knowing that their mission statements and goals in filmmaking were aligned, they create LAB FILMS - a company they all have creative ownership in.
